My wife has never been into politics, but today she asked me what the difference was between left wing and right wing, and how they got those names.
So I thought a moment and said, "'Right' actually means 'correct,' and it's called that because that portion of the population chose all of the correct stances. 'Left' refers to the second group, which basically just picked all of the view points that were left over after the all of the correct ones has been chosen."
I thought it was a pretty good answer. Can any of you think of a better way to define the difference?
