I fully agree, Bi-Polar. Here is an 'appointed official' of the United States of America, a position usually trusted...
promoting the idea that the courts and the citizens MUST accept a dictator in times of stress.
Doncha know, it seems the present government plans to stuff it down our THROAT!?
I believe the SAME God Bush says is his 'Savior', warned all of us that the day would come when we would HAVE to do as we are marked to do, or be a martyr.
No buying, no selling, no business, no school, no nuthin, unless we take that IDENTIFYING mark!!!!!

That is where dictatorship leads.

You're right, they shouldn't be treated like US citizens since they aren't,
however, there are international treaties (Geneva/Den Haag) that
must be honored in dealing with foreign prisoners. So far, the US has
defied these treaties, especially in Guatanama Bay, and people like
Bush and Ashcroft are co-responsible for this breach of humanity towards
the prisoners there.

Violence creates more violence; it doesn't save lifes - not ours and
not theirs!

If you want to be accurate, Geneva does not cover individuals that enter a country from the outside and are not part of that countries army. So, technically, Osama and cohorts, not being part of the Taliban, are not covered by Geneva. there may be some other treaty, that I am not aware of, that would cover them.
