Your wish is my command Lezzles. Freshly caught King George Whiting is my first entree, followed by Garfish and Snapper cutlets, accompanied with some special Boston Bay white wine.

Stupendous! I will enjoy that thoroughly - perhaps a small slice of home made, extra tangy, lemon meringue pie to clear the palate. Drool.....

Hoping you enjoyed that lovely Port Lincoln seafood Lezzles. Fishing is great, had some lovely times out on the water, what is also fascinating is the number of whales around with their calves. They just frolick around in the shallow waters seemingly without a care in the world, one swam just so close to the town jetty you could almost step on board his large body. Today doing a trip along "Whaler's Way", a beautiful coastal drive high along the 200m cliffs adjoining the Souhtern Ocean, you could not find a more scenic drive anywhere. Will talk to you again soon.

They are truly wondrous creatures! Some years ago an item came on the radio that there was a whale and calf off one of the northern beaches in Sydney. My son and I jumped into the car and drove to where it was supposed to be. No sign of it, but hundreds of people. After a while we left, quite disappointed, and drove home (next headland south). We stopped at our headland, not a soul there. We went down to the rocks to see if we could see any sign of the whales out at sea. Nothing. Then, suddenly, they surfaced right next to us. Mother gave us a real once over. They stayed for about half an hour before moving on. We felt blessed that we had been given the opportunity to see them.

Back homes again Lezzles and able to spend a bit more time on the threads, seems like crosswords, a real addiction. Fish all filleted and in the deep freeze, will carry me through for a while. Smile

Four weeks tomorrow (Monday) since we last heard of our mutual friend, a couple of others have not posted either for a while, they must be taken long vacations. Lezzles if you want to solve a puzzle with a difference, look at the following site: http://16across.com It got a mention in our Saturday paper. Let me know the answers if you can work them out. Smile

Well, it's where I started out. Besides, who can resist the charms of crowded sweat filled subways?

I kinda groove on those subways.

I took a sort of blush-making photos on the subway when I was in NYC last October.

hmmmm, returning to your source. I wonder if this means Setanta will end up there as well.

That's all very well, Sturge, just don't turn into another Kicky now you're in the Big Apple!

Dutchy! That puzzle is a strange one! Sounds as though one would need to be very familiar with various streets and landmarks in Adelaide - or am I reading it incorrectly?

One of my earliest memories is being on my knees on the subway seats with my hands along the sides of my eyes as I peered out at the tracks as the train zipped along...wonder if I'm too old to do that now.

By the way, if anyone found my plastic dinosaur from the '64 World's Fair that I lost on the #1 train 42 years ago...I want it back.

Is there truly room for both of our personalities in one city? I had no idea he was from here...it explains a lot.

Sturgis plastic dinosaurs are back in fashion, you can pick up half a dozen for a dollar down here! Made in China.

Lezzles, as I understand it, all the clues refer to the square mile of Adelaide. You should be able to find a map on the internet somewhere I guess. I mentioned the puzzle because sometime ago you said you were looking for something different. Smile

I haven't got the time to do it , have Lovatts Big & Mega to keep me occupied, plus a few others.

Ummmmm..... Errrrrrr........Oooooooh..... Embarrassed Oh yeah. Well, Kicky, seeing that you are such a unique, inimitable, matchless, unrivaled, rare personality, it would just not seem right for Sturgis to start showing similar characteristics. I thought perhaps the locale might have had something to do with this, but I'm more than happy to be proven wrong. Kicky is Kicky and Sturgis is Sturgis and never the twain should overlap.
Make sense??? Rolling Eyes

(Did I get out of that in one piece? Probably not.)

Lezzles, you don't have to explain. I understand. It's obvious that you detest me. I'm an odious piece of excrement as far as your concerned. But it's okay. Really.

In fact, I vow to you that your all-consuming hatred for me will never dampen the deep, heart-felt love that I have always felt, and always will feel, for you.

Carry on, my sweet, sweet angel.

It's a good thing it's going to rain. You're obviously drunk already and three more beers at the Pan would have had you swimming towards the Statue of Liberty.

Kicky,

That was such a touching reply. And I did miss you so much while you were away. You almost make me feel sick with shame.

No, when I think about it, forget the 'shame' bit.
