I have a debate meet next week and i was wondering abouth other peoples opinions. IS it less safe, more or about the same. I wpuld enjoy if people put down their view and gave a few reasons to back it up. Or if anybody has some good websites i can look at or research from that would be great. On friday i can tell you the results of my debate meet if your wondering.
Safe in a general sense. Personally secure, nationally secure, not just America, other nations too. Do you feel safer after George declared war on terror, or do you feel less safe, or is it the same as always.
A war on terror was a good idea after 9/11. How it has been fought, however, is a bone of contention.
The fact that the U.S. is now at war in Iraq as part of its war on terrorism may very well be making us less safe. Because much of that part of the world now sees the U.S. as a foreign power occupying an Arab nation, the U.S. is even more a focus of hatred. This is what inspires terrorists.
Fighting terrorism in a way that leads to more terrorism does not make us more safe.
The world is getting less safe every day in my opinion, and not because of the war on terroism. Just because people seem to be getting less and less compassionate.
A war on terrorism is a war on war, and as such, guarantees its own perpetuation. So I would say there is no 'after' the war on terror, as it can never be won.
No body else has views on this issue or any advice for me? Cmon.
War on terror, hmmm, is that like the war on poverty, and the war on drugs?
It is the most destructive lie your moron president has ever told you.
Potential terrorists are born everyday, all over the world, including the U.S.
The US hasn't been in a war since the end of WWII when the Department of War had it's name changed to the Department of Defence, since that time we have had presidential inspired over-seas military events because congress as not seen fit to declare war anywhere/anytime since 1945.
bush's reckless invasion of sovereign Iraq has made it less safe for Americans, this destructive guy has made us the most hated country when we use to be the most admired, country. According to a world poll, bush is the most hated man in the history of the world, taking the title from Hitler.

If you are going to try your hand at debate, you need to learn how to frame a question more succinctly.
Asking a question succinctly and just asking quickly if people have opinions on a subject is different. I dont talk how i type. I just want to know any information you may have, or opinions on why or why not the world is less safe now after the war on terror, i guess meaning after 9/11.
xxx.
succinctly...how about go fist yourself.
the man is asking a question, take it up with him once this is posted in grammar forum.
ps. there is no grammar forum...just though i'd let you know.
