With respect to the 2006 Congressional mid-term election, what possible excuse could Democratic candidates have for not advocating -- repeatedly and openly -- The Voter Confidence and Increased Accessibility Act?

Indeed, why should we even have to wait until 2006? Both Kerry and Edwards are still U.S. Senators. What possible excuse could they have for not co-sponsoring a Senate version of this bill either this year or next?
