I suppose I use artnet.com and artcyclopedia.com the most.

OK, I give up. I've been getting tons of info from [email protected] and haven't been interested in any shows, save that of one by a friend (and truth be told, not that one for the art).
Too much aggravating bletch for me.

Yes, it does take up a lot of time to look at them. I just look to see if there are good images to enjoy. I'm not likely to go to California just to see an art show.

Well, it's well possible I might want to, but not from that news source so far.
I have trouble tagging this thread in that I'd like to somehow distinguish what I think of as brick and mortar art or photo galleries, and galleries of lots of artists/photographers/designers online. Brick and mortar is such a clumsy phrase..

@ossobuco,
I assume membership is for gallery owners only? $200 a year is a bit steep for individual browsers (even professional browsers at that and I'm not one of those for certain).
Tsar, I don't remember - this thread started in 2004..
I'll have to reread, and then look for some more sites, as I'm still interested in having a few to look at. But, I'm off to sleep, or at least rest until the fireworks noise stops.
I'd like to see a site with emphasis on latin american art, and... here's a big category, photography galleries as a group.

@ossobuco,
Osso, my reference was to a different site, aldaily (not artdaily). But I'm glad to discover the latter. Thanks. After five days without my Mac it is great to come to this discovery.
