@Albuquerque,
Marketing and now clever bots are proof enough that people were never in control of their destiny, and thus never free on the "poker game"...soft determinism a brand of status quo in which Dennett betted in heavy some years ago is a flop...picking on Philosophers for defying him on his own "red hearings" as he softly correct his course and dodges criticism is just bad losing!
His take on Religion was a disaster and a total failure to understand the role of communal beliefs systems on Metaphysics for the masses...so many things fly over his head on his march for pragmatism while playing lipstick for pseudo Science rigor were there is none that one is left questioning his motives...
That said, Dennett still is with all his flaws one of the most relevant thinkers around, the best of his work comes up when he is not in stubborn mode. I just wish some traits of his personality were just good enough such that Dennett was more straight forward with himself!
