help with demi permanent hair dye

So I got my hair "high lighted" the other day. Needless to say, it did not turn out great and my hair is a million different tones of pale blonde. Some parts are near white/grey. The best part is the middle of my head has red tints to it and the hair dresser tried covering it up with a 7N which made it more reddish. My hair picks up warm tones very easily. My natural hair color is dirty blonde. I'm thinking about using a 8N and 7A demi permanent dye (ion color brilliance) to get it back to my natural color. I worried that the whites parts of my hair will turn green. Is that possible with demi permanent dye?
