well done Osso - lovely idea and I look forward to seeing it,

I was sorry to hear about the gallery. Maybe you will have more time to paint then? and take more photos?

The quiet wit is quite Cartier Bresson

I won a prize at my degree show - a purchase prize of a large canvas. That was doubly satisfying as a mature female student. One senior tutor didn't really know how to cope with us and tended to ignore our existence in favour of a favoured 2 or 3 male students. It was a pleasure to point out to him that both I and the 2 runners up were all mature female students Twisted Evil

Thanks, all, and

I know Walter is a superb photographer.. I especially loved his Tour d'France photo tour earlier this year on a2k. Some of those photos were taken by him, and the whole photo tour was a great idea.

Vivien, that's cool!

Sorry I'm late to the congratulations party, osso, but I had a sick wombat to attend to.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to you too, Walter.
By the way, I think I should get a green ribbon for suppressing my envy, a much more difficult achievement, I assure you.

BenC. I do not know yet how to post pictures of my work, but a few of my earlier things can be seen on the thread, JLNobody's paintings, in the art section. They were put there for me by fellow A2Kers (JoanneD and LittleK).

Piffka, I have to wait til the exhibit comes down to take a photo, as I used regular glary glass in the frame, and a flash is hard to use with that; I can take a photo in daylight after I get the piece back.
