Thank God I live in the green.
So, Gus, how's the wilderness treating you?
Let's go kill some possums, cannistershot, and then head to church.

Just fine, cjhsa. Thanks for asking.
Got a new shipment of fence posts in today!
Gotta keep Gertrude from wandering, eh Gus?

We will have to catch the opossums and flush 'em out before we can kill 'em and eat 'em.
Whenever I get depressed upon looking at a map, I remember what my grandmother told me:
Letty, have a moon pie and a pepsi and sing "Maple on the Hill." but never, NEVER go to a movie of a Sunday.
I always had RC cola with my moon pies.
FreeDuck, Hilarious.
Maple on the Hill
Near a quiet country village stood a maple on the hill,
There I sat with my Jennetta long ago.
As the stars were shining brightly we could hear the whippoor will,
As we sat beneath the maple on the hill.
We would sing love songs together when the birds had gone to rest,
We would listen to the murmur of the rill.
Will you love me little darling as you did that starry night,
As we sat beneath the maple on the hill.
Don't forget me little darling when they lay me down to die,
Just one little wish, oh darling, that I crave,
When you linger there in sadness thinking darling, of the past,
Let your teardrops kiss the flowers on my grave
I will soon be with the angels on that bright and peaceful shore,
Even now I hear them coming o'er the hill.
So goodbye my little darling it is time for us to part,
I must leave you and the maple on the hill.
Confession: Never had a moon pie in my life, but I do believe them lyrics is wrong. Think the Jennetta was really Geneva.
but what does them Swiss know.
It was bound to happen...it was only a matter of time.
Does anyone really take Gus seriously?
He's probably Pat Robertson in disguise.
Honestly, folks. It doesn't really matter what we think about politics, religion, philosophy. What matters is that we just keep on rollin' like Old Man River.
As a matter of fact, my grandmother was probably a strong woman who survived against terrible odds. I never saw that side of her, but although my Mama was not her favorite, she never and I mean NEVER put her down.
I think Gus is GWB. Busy posting on A2K while Cheney runs the country.

"It's hard work." ... but we have 'guschi' (german form of endearment for 'gustav' ) to do the hard work. lucky us ! hbg
Canada is starting to look better and better to me as a retirement haven.
