What sort of obvious changes do you expect to see in him, do you think there will be some dramatic ones, and how do you think he will reconcile his loss, should he lose, to the fact that he has worked so hard to keep up the mystique that God is on his side?
I remember his daddy's loss to Bill Clinton. The old man was as gracious as gracious can be. He said (quoting from memory): "If he runs this country as well as he ran his campaign, we have nothing to worry about."
I hope Junior will have the good grace to say something similar.

don't hold your breath
What I remember about 41 was when in the last debate Clinton stated he honored bushs' service and extended his hand to him and bush sr. walked away.......
GW will probably reacquaint himself with John Daniels . I hope he has enough left in him for the investigations in which he will no doubt be central
I think that somewhere in the back of his mind he would be greatly relieved to be defeated....
He has been gracious when the occasion calls for it.
With the recent Osama tape--he said "I'm sure Senator Kerry agrees.." and then gave his statement. He didn't use it as a weapon.
I bet he learned from Gore's mistake at the end of the last election, though. Don't look for premature concessions...
For the good of the country--I hope there is a clear winner.

Is he a distant relative of Jack Daniels?
And what is this about
IF Kerry wins? Kerry is going to win, no doubt about it. The if should be:
if he makes it into the White House.
same guy, Jack is his nickname.
Is there a concern about Kerry's safety?

I think what was meant by that was the fix in the SCOTUS among other bush puppet organizations....

Interesting observation, Bear. I think I agree. I fully believe that Dubya is nothing more than a tool in the utility kit of Cheney & Co. The Cheney-Rumsfeld-Ashcroft cabal don't let him out of their sights. He may actually be sincere in some of the things he says, but policy decisions are made in committee, not in the Oval Office.
That he may have been wired for at least one of the debates comes as no surprise. If he was wired, it's not because he's dumb -- he's not. But he doesn't always know what the appropriate policy of the Shadow Government is at any given moment. He doesn't run the show, doesn't make any decisions. He's just the King; the Ministers do the heavy lifting.
Yeah, he might well welcome a quiet and peaceful return to the ranch in Texas.
