The United Nations is a remarkable system of world government which allows important desicions to be made. To some degree the United Nations gives all countries oppurtunity to voice their opionions on specific issue but when it comes down to "crunch time" the real emphasis is just on the major world leaders and their opinions... China, United States, France, Russia & United Kingdom. When I sit back and contemplate about this topic, I think what makes these countries so special above the rest? The real answer to that lies in the final stages of World War II, which is almost sixty years ago. A great number of other countries had a place in that war but nobody ever seems to recognise their efforts and now the United Nations is left with a totally unfair inequality between countries. It seems to me that each country within the "big boys club" has an alternate agenda, and to my knowledge none of the other countries have the balls to stand up to them because they fear the ability to not be able to trade, and they fear embargos.

thanks for that stillwater
