Not a very satisfying win, but it did the trick.

@patiodog,
The defensive and special teams played great, I'm VERY satisfied with the defense.

Congrats to our beloved Cheeseheads here. Pity there won't be another game at Lambeau field.

@fbaezer,
True, the defense has been stout, for the most part.

(And you know, I always thought that Al Harris was overrated. This year, no Al Harris, good D. Just sayin'.)

@patiodog,
There have been close games all year where the defense nearly bailed out the offense, and the Pack's extra-shitty special teams blew it. This time the special teams play was top-notch. And just in time.

Yeah, we don't miss Harris I suppose. Though Sam Shields can't tackle, he can cover a ************. Tramon Williams too. Just two of several examples of nameless dudes emerging from the ether. Who was that cat this week with the two sacks and 11 tackles?

@Gargamel,
Dunno, didn't retain it. OLB, though, right?

My impression on Harris was that he gambled too much in coverage -- always seemed like he got beat deep a lot trying to make a play underneath.

@Gargamel,
SA-WEET!!!

<high fives everyone madly>

I missed some in the middle (had to be somewhere, was checking my Blackberry every 3 minutes), but saw the full 1st quarter, some of the second, and all of the 4th. Which was when most of the good stuff happened. (Loved the interception and then running around going "WOOO!" but the play wasn't dead yet! Everyone's like "GET DOWN!!!")

@Region Philbis,
That was absolutely amazing.

I love Rodgers and his control. He's got emotion when he needs it but he's just so calm most of the time. And accurate! Holy crap.

Love Sparks.

Love Tramon Williams. (That interception before the half!)

Love B.J. Raji. (340 pounds, a proper cornfed Packer.)

Definitely the most fun I've had watching the Packers in a while. And definitely some deja vu. Some 1997 deja vu. (Knock on wood.)

The only bad thing about this weekend's NFC Championship, which should settle the score between the Packers and Bears for years to come, is that if the good guys lose I will have to hang myself with an extension cord.

@Gargamel,
What kind of extension cord, are we talking bungy?

@Gargamel,
Really is just an absurdly epic American sports rivalry match-up. And absolutely no edge to either team looking at how the season went. The line I saw this afternoon was Bears by 3.5 -- practically a wash. Beautiful.

Be strong, Gargamel, even if the Packers lose. If you do something like that, then Gustav will have won that cruel game he has been playing with you for the last several years.

@wandeljw,
Gustav who?

Ah, Gustav Ratzinger, the guy who lives in a swamp and roots for the so-called team supposedly led by that fellow Bart Favre we Packers fans remember so well.
