In fact there is. As I read it, there are something like 30 serious trouble spots in the world today. All but about four or five involve Islam, and the other four or five are solvable. Assuming that our efforts to create modern and democratic states in Iraq and Afghanistan succeed, that the islammic world attains some semblence of sanity using those countries as examples, and that we get rid of three or four of the most pathalogical regimes in the next two or three years, then there is certainly hope of world peace.
Aside from conflicts involving Islam and North Korea, the only other truly dangerous situation in the world is Taiwan, and there is a simple solution for that one. Basically, we pick the darkest night of the month, take everything we have which floats, and move the Chinese nationalists back 6000 miles away from Peking to one or more or our island possessions or to that northwest corner of Australis which is presently populated by crocodiles and poisonous snakes (nuke the reptiles first), and simply tell the commie bastards running Peking that if they want the Island of Taiwan, they can have it, feel free.
