I am a potential International Student with low GPA from my local university but high GPA from high school. I have a Bachelor's degree in Economics and am currently working as a HR assistant. My plan is to pursue education abroad, but not sure which option I have considering my low GPA and not a very good financial situation. I cannot afford tuition without scholarships, or any other fin.aid.
Do you think going to a community college for 2 years is a good start? Because I could probably afford that. Or would the school be surprised by my choice ( a 28 year old female, already has a Bachelor's degree but going back to a community college instead of pursuing Master's?) Or am I just too worried?
The problem is Economics is not really my passion, and if I have a chance to get another degree I'd prefer to chose languages/ public administration/ Political Science ( this is just what I have on my mind right this second).
Any ideas or suggestions would be very helpful. I need an insight. Thank you all!
@Legoland,
I feel lost because I m not sure which major i really want and also because my GPA is holding me back. This would also impact my application for any scholarship or financial aid if i apply. International students do not have much choice for financial aid, unless there is a US citizen co-signer, which I do not have.
I don't see any reason why you can't work towards a second BA. You would not be the first student, ever, to do this. So, get started!
