Hello everyone;

I'm preparing for a debate perofmance between the reps and dems, I will be the debater (i.e acting as Kerry or Bush) , and I will only find out wether im gonna be a democrat or a republican MINUTES before the debate starts...so I have been asked to prepare for the views, stands, theories, beliefs and the politics of BOTH the republicans and the democrats...so im looking for web links, documents, anything that would "briefly summarize" the differences between both parties and briefly states what does each part believe in and preaches for...i.e a simply comparison between both..so that I can have clear vision of each and the differences that exist between the both...
I'm looking for something as concise and direct and clear and comprehensive as possible...I hope you guys can help me with it Smile

Thanks in advance

These are great sites, but I wouldn't call them brief.

In short--very short, Republicans try to create an environment (a level playing field) wherein all people can succeed. 'Equal opportunity."

While Dems push more for "equal results", even if they have to alter the playing field for some to achieve those results.

That was the traditional republican and democratic possitions, now Kerry is a quite typical Democrat, but Bush is no typical republican.

I think this will be more usefull:

http://www.johnkerry.com/issues/national_security/compare.html

It is the Kerry campaign site, so expect mountains of bias. This Is likely the case you might be trying to make if you are chosen to represent Kerry. Select among the issues from the list on the left, then click comparisson on the bottom right for a point by point comparison of the two candidates.

Again, this is the official Kerry site, so you might want to inlist the help of someone here to find the Bush equivalent.
