I knew someone who did a photo etching pizza... it was pretty funny.
This was a wonderful, and to me useful, thread. Let me revive it (or kill it off for good) with the following observation: Good poetry (for me) is verbal painting, and good painting (whether abstract or figurative) is visual poetry--and music.
absolutely, and good prose as well - Noddy had written an account of The Gates which was so visual it was brilliant (I don't even like the Gates but the writing was great!)
Dorothy Dunnet (my favourite author) was also a gifted painter and her writing is so incredibly visual but also layered with meaning - not everything apparent at first glance, very much like a good painting.
