I remember I use to love reading Debralaws comments. I always thought of her as an intelligent strong woman ...

Me, too, jcboy.
I always made a point of reading her posts ... very good value & definitely no push-over in debate!

@msolga,
I remember an abortion debate and I thought she was coming from one angle on when life started - she wasn't and straightened me out quick smart. Valued A2Ker.

@hingehead,
Yes.
I definitely thought so, hinge.

Debra Law, if you're out there somewhere & by chance reading this, you are missed!

@msolga,
Do you use the nom d'email "msolga" on some other forum? I saw it somewhere recently but didn't ask the writer because I really didn't have time and because I worried that if the writer were someone else, I might accidentally give out information about you.

@hingehead,
I don't remember, doesn't he or she post sporadically? Anyway, valued a2ker for sure.

on screen names, sometimes I sign up for some damned website in a fit of stupidity (I know better) and ossobuco or other choices are taken. These tend to be sports websites. And no, it's not me signing up over and over. I keep a list of current sign in stuff. When I first became ossobuco at the New York Times Abuzz (now there was a day, somewhat long ago now, when I should have thought for a bit more time and now live with the name), I had already tried many italian food names and found them rejected.

@ossobuco,
i can never use my real name. Supposedly, it is almost always taken. I also like to use the Irish name Siobhan because it is the transliteration of my real first name and it, too, is always taken.

@ossobuco,
I invented Hingehead in the early 90s - pre web.

Still pissed off that some bastard pinched it on Tumblr. Sigh.

@plainoldme,
Well, I'll be!
That is very surprising indeed, POM.
I hope she doesn't have a cat avatar, too! Razz

@hingehead,
thats how i feel about my name. I have used shewolfnm since 1994 when internet was becoming a common household thing. Before that it was just forums and message boards. I didnt use anything then.

so far... NO ONE has used it in any place i go to. Though if i just try to use 'shewolf' thats always gone..

When I started posting, I had very little internet experience. Even e-mail was new to me. I simply used the name that they gave me to use at work for e-mail.

@CalamityJane,
I was named after my mother's brother. His birthday is the same as the famous Johann Wolfgang Goethe.
