Thanks for the heads up, ehBeth.

Thomas (you are Thomas, my German Freund, are you not? - sorry, I've been out of the loop) Anyhow, Thomas, if you would be so kind as to tell TheDivaDen (Ms T) that I can be reached most handily at [email protected], I'd be obliged.

Roboita, what can I say? Well, I suppose Happy New Year for a start. Sorry you've missed me, but it's jolly good of you, all the same.

And Happy New Year to one and all.

. . . and to you, too, Deb. 2008 down there, is it?

Hello, osso. Good to see you, too.

I've been busy, as Deb said. Busy googling for junk art, what time I'm not working at the knacker's yard.

Looking through A2K emails, I spied one I sent to Merry Andrew at the beginning of '07.
It includes this link to a clip which in some quirky way seems pertinent at a new year's
startup; futuristic, anyway.

(I'm rather rusty at working the URL thing; hope it works.)

Happy New Year!!!

Holy moly. Thomas. Please say hello to Diva for me, and tell her I say thanks, again. (I'm pretty sure it was Diva I owe thanks to. Is she from New York?)

Yes, Diva is from New York. What do I relay thanks for, and whom from? Was your Abuzz screen name "Roberta" too?

Yes, we did meet before on Abuzz and elsewhere. Smile I'll let forward your e-mail address to her.

9/11. She was a phenomenon. She was on abuzz checking on the whereabouts of every New Yorker. Coordinating efforts to make sure everyone was OK. Offering help and assistance. When the winds changed and the fumes from the fires moved uptown, I was getting sick (asthma). She offered to come to my apartment to take care of me! I declined the help and muddled through, but I was beyond impressed with her strength, generosity, thoughtfulness, and sensitivity. I thanked her then. (I was Riman Roberta on abuzz.) Just wanted to thank her again. She was the only positive memory I have of that awful time, and I've thought of her from time to time since that day.

Debacle! In the flesh, so to speak. Happy new year to you too, kid.

Yes, I think the aussies got to celebrate the new year before we did. They're having a horrendous heat wave at the moment. Frying in Oz.

Jeez, it's good to see you.

Roberta, I remember reading of Diva's doing all that. Very good hearted young lady, not just a pretty face. At one time we discussed keeping company on a Central Park bench, feeding pigeons and whatnot, but I reckon she's given up on my ever showing up. Haven't been to NY for quite a spell -- I understand they have paved streets now.

Wish we were in a heat wave. Got so many layers on I can barely reach my mouse.

Debacle, Yes, the streets are paved here. Fact is, the paving is coming undone. More mosaic than squares.

Diva was amazing.

If you're ever in this neck of the woods, I'd be glad to sit on a park bench and feed pigeons with you and whatnot. Diva has dibs. I'll wait my turn. You could set up a turnstile in Central Park. People who want to sit on a bench with Debacle would wait, slip through the stile, and sit and schmooze.

It's nippy here too. Only two layers though--and my snuggly socks. Got some new snugglies for Christmas.

I hope you're taking good care of yourself.

Yee-hah!

A Debacle Debbickle sighting!

Yep - it's 2008 here, hot as hell, and the seas are storming.

And the Indians gave the Aussies a fright in cricket (game continuing!)

Is this the end of the world as we know it?!

I am not sure if this means anything. Earlier today I saw "Frank Apisa" on the list of registered members online. He didn't post anything however.
