As much as I didn't want to I found Larry's little poem thing kind of funny.

I don't see the humor in this. It's just a hodgepoge of a bunch of different talking points from republicans. I suprised Martha Stewart ain't in there somewhere leaning out a jail cell trying to sell her whites from an overstocked martha stewart line at kmart.

Yeah but satirical humor has to have a grain of truth, Mesquite. The poster is clever but isn't funny as the Bush administration has never ever suggested the draft should be reinstituted. Put Kerry's face on Uncle Sam however, and it would be funnier just because of the 'global collaboration' slant he introduced in the debate.

Of note however, Charles Rangel (D - NY) did introduce a bill in the House to reinstitute the draft and it was voted down either yesterday or today - the margin was 2 for and 400+ against. Rangel voted against it. Smile

I thought that the registration form was hilarious. You probably didn't even look at it. Born Date. MM/DD/YYYY.... Born Again Date. MM/DD/YYYY Laughing

As to a serious thought on the draft, if it returns it will be because of the pickle that Bush put us in, not because of the want of either political party.
