That's interesting. I had been under the impression that Soros had arranged it. Even funnier that someone else did it for him.

Somethings up with the ampersands Bear. I'm not sure what, but you have to backspace out the 'amp;' to make it work.

BPB, you know what I think happens? You grab a headline off of the Yahoo front page, then they change it. Get the original AP (usually) link for a more permanent one.

Here's one:

Quote:
Cheney's slip-up sends Net surfers to anti-Bush site

WASHINGTON Vice President Dick Cheney wanted to tell people to look at Fact Check dot org, a nonpartisan Web site run by the University of Pennsylvania.
But in last night's debate, he gave the wrong Web address, and told people to look at Fact Check dot com. That's a for-profit advertising site based in the Cayman Islands.

A Philadelphia attorney for the for-profit site says today that it was swamped with hits. The for-profit site decided to re-route the traffic today to a site run by George Soros. He's a (b) billionaire who makes no secret of his opposition to the Bush administration. The lawyer says his client picked the Soros site partly for its political views, but also because Soros can afford the cost of all that Web traffic.

Thanks, Soz. All I get clicking on the Bear's links is "Web page not found."

Yer right. That Sorros got involuntarily involved is hilarious.
