Learn these facts before election time !!!

There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq during the month of
January.....

In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in the month of
January.

That's just one American city, about as deadly as the entire war torn
country of Iraq.

When some claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war, state
the following.

FDR... led us into World War II.
Germany never attacked us: Japan did.
From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost,
an average of 112,500 per year.

Truman...finished that war and started one in Korea.
North Korea never attacked us.
From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost,
an average of 18,334 per year.

John F. Kennedy... started the Vietnam conflict in 1962.
Vietnam never attacked us.

Johnson... turned Vietnam into a quagmire.
Vietnam never attacked us.
From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost,
an average of 5,800 per year.

Clinton...went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent.
Bosnia never attacked us.
He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan
and did nothing.
Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.

In the two years since terrorists attacked US!

President Bush has ..
liberated! two countries,
crushed the Taliban,
crippled al-Qaida,
put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran and North Korea without firing a
shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own
people.

The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking, but...

It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the
Branch Dravidian compound.
That was a 51 day operation.

We've been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq for less
time than it took Hillary Clinton to find her Rose Law Firm billing
records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to
destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the
police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick, drowning Mary Jo.

It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in
Florida!!!!

Our Commander-In-Chief is doing a GREAT JOB!

The Military moral is high!

The biased media hopes we are too ignorant to realize the facts.

If you can read this thank a teacher.

Of course not.

This is the kind of letter that conservatives send around to each other to justify the things we are doing in the world today....

Who needs things like sources, or analogies which are consistent, or any of that stuff when you have Belief(tm)!

i'm not even going to get into whether they are thoughts or facts.

This came to me in my email. I wanted to note who actually wrote it rather than take the credit. Rather than trying to find out wh Ernie is, I'm looking at the statistics to see if they have any credibility.

Funny how some Democrat jumps out and points the finger for the same tactic that has been used by Democrats themselves. Oh, that's right, Democrats are perfect, Republicans can't do anything right. Forgot!

Gotta realize that many of us don't have a problem with republicans, at all, just the NeoCons that have taken your party over.

I knew Ernie when he was a collector of shrunken heads from the Mississippi Delta and was running for the positon of County Clerk and Recorder with promises of revamping the department of motor vehicles at the court house. He invented the "take a number for faster service" paradigm.

So an American soldiers death is to be compared with a person who died in Detroit? Out of those who died in Detroit, how many were fighting for thier country?

This is the start of lunacy.

Hmm, you are relating wars to Iraq. You do realize you are saying a soldiers life isn't that important don't you? You do realize this denegrates the heroic effort these young men are putting forth each and every day, don't you? Well hell, we lost over 100,000 soldiers in WWII, so what's a couple of thousand.

This is absolutely disgusting and degrading to the AMerican soldiers who are woking their ASS off each and every day. I sure hope your proud!!!

Hmm, relating Bosnia to Iraq, well there is one difference you fail to realize when you post this crap. . . Bosnia was in a CIVIL WAR for christ sakes!!!

And none worse then on the president's watch!!!

Hmmm, Al Qaeda is going stronger then ever, the Taliban is actually REGROUPING in Afghanistan and his "liberation" has caused more Muslims to hate the US. Attacking Iraq caused more Islamic resentment towards the US then if he went to Mecca and took a dump on the Koran!

Absolute Bull ****, in fact, he did the OPPOSITE!!!! He shreaded our relations with North Korea and allowed them to become a nuclear power. He allowed Iran to gain nuclear power. he did NOTHING!!!!

Hmmm, so you feel the need to relate the fact that no WMD have been found and in fact there were no WMDs to a federal which hunt? WTF is wrong with you? WMDs was the reason for going to war!!!

MichaelAllen,
This post is disgusting.

First of all, 39 deaths per month out of a population of 150,000 American soldiers is very high. This doesn't even count those who are losing limbs.

Second of all, Thousands of *people* died this month in Iraq. The implication that the deaths of Iraqi's aren't as tragic as the deaths of Americans is obscene.

Whether you are an Iraqi civilian or a US soldier, the suggestion that Iraq is safer than Detroit is absurd.

This is the most sick piece of propaganda I have seen since Goebbels.

Has anyone just sat back and thought about it. Sometimes people feel attacked and they don't check out the legitimacy of the thought. That tells you whether your brainwashed or not. If you won't accept an argument contrary to your belief system, go ahead and walk through this world blind of the differences we all share. I'm passionate of one thing and one thing alone, the truth at all cost. Even if it means changing my mind as I learn.

In fact:

13/06/1940 Armed merchant-cruiser Scotstown is torpedoed by U-25 off Ireland, 6 crew lost. The first US arms ship, 'Eastern Prince', sets sail for Britain. The German raider Orion lays mines off Auckland, New Zealand.

17/08/1940 Hitler announces that a total maritime blockade is to be placed around Britain, with any neutral ships transporting cargo to Britain to be sunk without warning.

28/09/1940 The first of the recently purchased US destroyers arrive in Britain.

19/05/1941 Egyptian liner Zamzam reported sunk by Germans in the South Atlantic, passenger list included over 200 Americans.

21/05/1941 Against strict orders not to attack American vessels, the US merchant ship Robin Moor is sunk by U-69 (Kptlt. Metzler). This sinking of a neutral American vessel is publicly denounced by President Roosevelt and becomes yet another argument for him in his secret desire for bringing the United States into war against Germany. An RAF reconnaissance plane sight the Bismarck and Prinz Eugen in the port of Bergen, allowing the British Home Fleet time to ready plans to intercept them in the earlier hours of the 22nd May.

12/08/1941 US Navy takes over patrolling convoy routes in the North Atlantic and tracking German submarines for the Royal Navy in violation of Neutrality Act.

04/09/1941 U-652 attacks the US destroyer Greer off Iceland after being tracked and harassed by it.

15/09/1941 The US Navy begins to take over the convoying of British ships as far as Iceland, which is seen as an un-neutral act by the German government.

17/10/1941 Destroyer USS Kearny damaged by German torpedo off Iceland.

31/10/1941 The US destroyer Reuben James escorting Convoy HX-156 is sunk by U-552 (Kapitänleutnant Erich Topp) with the loss of 100 of her crew. The destroyer is the first US naval casualty in the hitherto undeclared war between Germany and the United States that has existed after President Roosevelt authorised the use of American naval vessels to escort Lend-Lease convoys bound for Britain.

01/11/1941 The German government issues a statement denying the charges made by President Roosevelt that the US destroyers Greer and Kearney were attacked by German submarines without any provocation; that the exact opposite was true in that the U-boats fired torpedoes only after they were tracked and depth-charged for hours by these US vessels.

06/11/1941 The German blockade runner 'Odenwald' which is disguised as a US merchant, is captured by the US cruiser Omaha and the destroyer Somers.
