When a lie is told about any political figure of any political party by a network or competing candidate, does an apology out weigh the damage of the lie?
Not in our sound-byte society.
The republicans have mastered this fact; you don't have to actually do things to help people, you just have to SAY you are doing things... and most people will change the channel before you have time to be proven wrong.

I haven't heard Bush apologize ONCE for anything, but it's obvious that his lies will be MUCH more damaging.

Maybe because that's such an open ended question. The lies of George Bush are too egregious and specific to address this. As always in politics, it's how you handle yourself through the lies AND the apologies. But it's also how you lied to begin with, which demanded an example of FOX News.
