Dedicated to Bush AND Kerry:

FORTUNATE SON

Some folks are born made to wave the flag,
ooh, they're red, white and blue.
And when the band plays "Hail To The Chief",
oh, they point the cannon at you, Lord,

It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no senator's son,
It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no fortunate one, no,

Some folks are born silver spoon in hand,
Lord, don't they help themselves, oh.
But when the taxman come to the door,
Lord, the house look a like a rummage sale, yes,

It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no millionaire's son.
It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no fortunate one, no.

Yeh, some folks inherit star spangled eyes,
ooh, they send you down to war, Lord,
And when you ask them, how much should we give,
oh, they only answer, more, more, more, yeah,

It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no military son,
It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no fortunate one,

It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no fortunate one, no no no,
It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no fortunate son, no no no,

- John C, Fogerty

compassionate conservatism at it finest.

Please. This is an example of why we refer to 'liberal wisdom' as an oxymoron.

Hey Gala, check this out: http://www.washtimes.com/upi-breaking/20041005-024050-1855r.htm

"Shots fired at Bush Tenn. headquarters".

So I started checking around, Gala, and I discovered that there has not been any reports of shots fired at Kerry's headquarters! Gosh, I guess this means that Democrats are obviously more into gun violence then Republicans?

Election intimidation at its finest?

I lived and worked in Lowell for a while back in the late '70s. Even in Lowell, people with any discernemnt tend to read the Boston Globe, not the local Sun.

'People with discernemnt' means?:

-A wealthy liberal person who expresses a deep concern for the poor, yet does not spend any considerable portion of his/her wealth to help poor people?

-A person who is strident in their 'support' of public schools, yet sends their children to exclusive private schools?

-An attorney who makes millions of dollars "helping the helpless" sue the medical community, yet never does any pro-bono work. (See Edwards, John).

-A person who is shrill in their support of gun crontol, yet live in gated communities with armed guards.

-A person who demands that people get rid of their SUVs, but are chauffeured in their Lincoln Navigators. (See Kerry's, both)

-People who loudly back wind power as the new power source, until a windmill ruins their ocean view.

And finally....

The magazine people with any 'discernemnt' tend to read!

Funny magazine cover, Lone. I love it. It redefines 'radical chic' perfectly.

I've done some interrogations about this "newspaper" - even my monitors convulsed with laughter when the emails arrived by now.

And, yes, there must bes some dozens who read it in Lowell.
It least, they buy it.

Dozens? What a hoot you pathetic libs are. The daily circulation of the Lowell Sun is 48,000, that's FORTY EIGHT THOUSAND, lefty, while the Iconoclast is a whopping 425, that's FOUR HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE!!
What's funny about you sad sacks on the left is that you can't even be honest with yourself. The circulation figures are there for anyone to check and yet you cannot bear to face the facts...as usual.

HA, the Lowel Sun is a conservative paper with a circulation of about 5,000 about 30 miles from Boston. It's in fact a joke that you would even bring it up, seeing how they indorsed the republican in every election since its inception.

I think that the local paper of the POTUS which endorsed him last election is bigger news then a small conservative paper 30 miles from Kerry's hometown.

Funny how you losers just make up your 'facts' on the fly. The facts are that that the Lowell Sun has a daily circulation of 48,000 while the Iconoclast has a daily circulation of a whopping, huge, titanic....425.
My, my, don't you look the fool?

Gosh could that be because there's barely more than 425 people in the whole town?

what in the world do those figures have to do with anything?

Welcome to A2K, joev114!

May I thank you for the honour to be called a "lefty" and "sad sack" in your very first post here?

A great compliment, thanks - as well for the updated info about the paper's ciculation.

Btw: where did we meet before?
