CBSgate vs Watergate: Who wants to play?

I'll start this off; feel free to add to it and continue the story.....

Rubbing my crystal ball and seeing March 2006......

President Kerry is catching heat from both parties because of his failure to extract the military from Iraq by the end of 2005, as he promised in the last days of the 2004 presidential election. He is also feeling heat from two Washington Post reporters, who won't let rest the pre-election issue of forged National Guard memos about former president George W. Bush.

The Washington Post has discovered that the original forger, Bill Burkett, had sent the documents to Secretary of Veteran's Affairs Max Cleland, who in turn gave them to Democratic operative Bill Barnes. The Post has claimed that they have a Kerry insider, (whom they have nicknamed ?'Missionary Position") who asserts that Barnes had passed them to Kerry's Chief of Staff David Gergen, who provided them to former DNC head Terry McAuliffe.

According to ?'Missionary Position', McAuliffe had a planning session in which Kerry, former CBS Evening News anchor Dan Rather, Secretary Cleland, and current Kerry Press Secretary James Carville reviewed the forged documents. "Missionary Position" told the Post that although the group knew the documents had been forged, they decided Rather would air a story on CBS' 60 Minutes in an effort to make up ground Kerry had lost to Bush in September 2004.

Cleland, Carville, and Kerry have all refused comment on this investigation. Rather's whereabouts are not known, although he was recently fired after covering Hurricane Jenny for the small Tampa radio station 680 AM (The Big Splash 680 AM) and claiming that all of Flordia had been destroyed "like a mule stompin' on a catfish".

Congress is pushing Attorney General Joe Lieberman to appoint a Special Prosecutor to investigate, and Lieberman has stated he is considering such a move.

My crystal ball now views June 2006.........

In what the Post is calling the "Tuesday Late Afternoon Slaughter", President Kerry has fired Attorney General Joe Lieberman and most of Lieberman's staff after Lieberman reported that he would appoint a special prosecutor to investigate ?'CBSgate'. The Post reported that Kerry plans to appoint Jamie Gorelick as his new Attorney General.

Gorelick stated she would not investigate CBSgate because "it was no big deal".

Gorelick said that Rather "wouldn't have had to air the forged National Guard documents if those stupid Swift Boat guys hadn't questioned Kerry's Cambodia, er, Vietnam service." The Post reported that their Kerry insider, "Missionary Position", has said Kerry has destroyed all notes of the 2004 forged document meeting, but is worried about what Dan Rather might say to the press, if Rather ever shows up after covering the April 2004 Omaha City Council meeting for communty cable channel 226. (Editors note: Rather had been fired by Cablevision communty cable channel 226 after falsely claiming that an Omaha city councilman had been bribed by a developer "like a mule chasing grits"; Rather's whereabouts are still unknown).
