It's hard for nutritionists to not work for the agro-food industry. Like, at all and never. So yes, certain nutrition scientists and committees have historically been influenced by the food industry, and more than once. But i see that as stronger in America than elsewhere, as is the case for the undue influence of the fossil fuel industry on a handful of climate scientist. It's a localised problem. Nobody prevents you from using Cuban, Australian or Indian dietary guidelines if you don't trust the US's.
In short, you generalize to all nutritionists the crimes of a few.
