Yep, sounds to me like she wants them naked. Isn't it fun when people say things without thinking sometimes. Ya gotta laugh.

I just had a thought though. (I know, I don't often have too many of those) Since she is so concerned, I wonder if she is dipping into her fortune to donate anything. The article says her husband's campaign is (but that is other people's money donated for his campaign) but does not mention whether she is.

Ah well, at least she went down there and shook some hands. Smile

Thanks Set. I was looking for something a bit more stylish though. But at least it covers my bald spot.

It was a pretty dumb thing for her to say.

Feeds all the rich lady stereotypes... hmph.

Actually, I totally get where she's coming from, though I admit the 'let them go naked' was clumsy. You often hear from the salvation army and other charities that do disaster relief that clothing is the lowest priority and that people really need food, water and power.

I agree Free. I do think the thoughts expressed were correct. Food & water should be a priority. But she sure could have picked a better way of saying it. Ah well, we have all said things that have come out sounding wrong at one time or another.

Karl Rove is probably personally licking the stamps on packages containing Bush/Cheney 2004 t-shirts....way more important than food or water.....

Aw, why are they picking on poor Tessie? I understand where she is coming from. If a charity has "X" number of dollars to spend, food and water needs to be the top priority.

Don't the news services have anything better to do????
