@Ragman,
youre still a Nikon kinda guy. Ive since bought a Canon 7D and a 10 mgp camera/binoculars set up. Post processing with Photoshop ELements of the binoc pix can pretty much even out all differences that the 7D has over the cheaper CMos setup in the binoks.
I bought a cheap canvas duck blind tenet and can sit out in the shrubbery among the wintering birds and capture them unaware. Im still limited to a zoom lens a bit smaller than yours. Ill sell my kids inheritance for a bigger zoom sooner or later.
Just a quick note. Jaumen told me to put him down for KC as he was walking out the door last evening. He will make the rest of his picks today sometime.

Yes, your pick of KC counts.
I looked at the NWS forecasts for today's games. Their maps show a Winter Snow Watch from Minnesota and Michigan through New York and New England. There may be light snow at three stadiums. Air temperatures are not predicted to be especially cold.

This is a singularly unpromising first half for the Sand Doggies. It was bound to happen, eh! Now hoping for some betterment in the second half.
Hey, SD scored, oh hurray, but still way behind, and Wash is back, for the moment.
I had decided to not pick Houston against good teams the rest of the season. So they finally beat the Colts at the Colts' stadium. Good going guys.
RJB, thanks for letting me know. Did my best to get connected and get it right. Hopefully, I'll have better access and timing this coming week. I'll try to get it right.
After and a flight of an hour and 10 mins, we're now located now in Akaroa, NZ, (60 min from Christchurch) northeast coast of South Island. BTW, no damage happened here from recent major quake. However, lots of destruction 1:45 drive away. Not good...roads inaccessible 100s (more ?) of homes destroyed.
At home (a friend's country home at a small vineyard...house and dogsitting for a few weeks), we have a fire going in the wood stove, as it's raining steadily and about 58-60). Damned good weather 'til yesterday. Lots of images to work on and share on the 'net
We're watch NFL Red Zone plus one of the NFL match whole games. Ahhh, civilization!
@Ragman,
I want to hear about the dogs.
