We just finished a 4-day stay at the Coramandel coast at our friend's vacation bache (home) back to their home in Auckland. All coastal and pleasant.
I sprung for a new 200-600 telezoom and a lightweight monopod and I'm thrilled to death with the results. In a few more weeks I can afford the other 2 legs and have a full tripod.
It's like I've rediscovered photography. Almost got dive bombed by Oystercatcher birds when we wandered too close to the hidden nest nr the shore. We had to give them a wider berth.
