It doesn't matter if Trump "meant" temporary ban of Muslims or continued ban, it is against the constitution to make laws based on religion which is why Khan asked Trump if he had ever read the constitution. It was a very logical question.

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution

I guess you haven't read the 14th Amendment then huh?

No it's a problem with your comprehension. Our healthcare service is considerably better than yours. Not just a bit better, but a lot better.

Really? Why do people from all over the world including Britain flag to the United States for the operation?

@giujohn,
Anecdotal ramblings aren't the same as league tables.

But if you want to do that, you might want to ask why a load of NY fire fighters who contracted illnesses during 9/11 had to go to Cuba for treatment. That should have been a national disgrace.

(It's in Michael Moore's Sicko btw.)

@izzythepush,
Medical tourism.

Quite the business

http://www.cdc.gov/features/medicaltourism/

Quote:
Going Abroad for Medical Care

"Medical tourism" refers to traveling to another country for medical care. It's estimated that up to 750,000 US residents travel abroad for care each year. Many people who travel for care do so because treatment is much cheaper in another country. In addition, a large number of medical tourists are immigrants to the United States returning to their home country for care. The most common procedures that people undergo on medical tourism trips include cosmetic surgery, dentistry, and heart surgery.

___

It continues to be a political issue in Canada. Lots of complaints about Americans coming to Canada to use our medical services. There's recently been a push on for people to update their medical cards in a number of border communities as there is a thriving bootlegging business creating fake cards to sell to Americans who want to be treated in Canada.

I'm so happy to hear that the UK has public libraries.

The U.S. does not have a national healthcare service like yours. We still might go to doctors of our choice, and possibly insurance pays a portion of the cost. But, since creeping socialism is what the teeming masses might want, it could happen here too. I have nothing else to say; enjoy Brexit.

@ehBeth,
It must be particularly problematic in Canada. It's theft pure and simple.

Unfortunately a free at the point of delivery system is not always geared up to combat fraud.
