Now, they've posted to stop speculations and discussions

According to the police, there are no shoppers/employees in the shopping mall anymore. And nothing is known about an Islamist background.

TV here saying six confirmed dead, but it appears that there is enough confusion that this number can go up or down.

I was about to write "unbelievable," but sadly that's not at all the case.

These evil acts seem to be occurring every other day.

The center will not hold.

Certainly not down, since six has been confirmed officially. The noting of seven deaths might include the death suspect.

The Bavarian State Chancellory (administration/office of the state's prime minister), the Bavarian Parliament, most of Munich mosques, many church rooms and lots of private homes are open as accommodation for those, who can't get home. And for those, who can't get to Munich, the railway company has installed trains at the temporary terminals as "hostels".

Walter - The news here reported that the (or one of) shooter who committed suicide was a woman. You getting anything about that?

Police tweeted, it was a male with a red rucksack. Since there might be a bomb it, it takes longer. It is thought, he was the first shooter at the McDonald's. (The corpse was found next to the [former] Olympic Village.)

Still no public transport, but meanwhile people are leaving the restaurants, buildings etc., and cars are driving again.

Thanks - I guess if they are waiting to get closer because of what might be a bomb then it could be a woman, but it seems more likely that the person here was misinformed

So, what is known until now:
a shooting started at a McDonald's, by three shooters with "long arms" (rifles/shotguns). Then, the shooters fled to the nearby shopping mall. Nine people are dead, one of them might be a suspect.
Althought panic had been at other places in Munich, no other attacks had been made.
It is dealt with by the police as a "terror act", but no Islamic background can be affirmed.
Two (or three) shooters are still on the run.
