SPOKANE, Wash. - Richard G. Butler, the notorious white supremacist who founded the Aryan Nations and was once dubbed the "elder statesman of American hate," has died at the age of 86, authorities said Wednesday.
Butler died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Hayden, Idaho, sheriff's Capt. Ben Wolfinger told The Associated Press. It was not known when he died; his body was found in his bed Wednesday morning.

"Everything appears to be natural," said Wolfinger, of the Kootenai County, Idaho, sheriff's department.

The Aryan Nations lost its church and 20-acre compound in northern Idaho in 2000 after a $6.3 million civil judgment led to a bankruptcy filing. He moved into a house bought by a supporter in Hayden, and made few public appearances in recent years because of failing health.

well of course this was a stupid thing to post but I asked three people that I met on the street and they all said "we don't believe for a minute it was all natural, most likely a demmunist, and prolly a afro-american demmunist had a hand in it.

he died a lonely man, since his position had been declared redundant by Karl Rove.

well it's a good thing Clinton has an airtight alibi or the republicans would be calling for a house and a senate investigation. Did Hitlery have a hand in it?

I admit it, it was me, and I am a white Jewish afro-American demmunist. Yes, I'm conflicted. That's what drove me to it.

Perhaps like his hero Hitler he will not live forever nor should we have expected him to.

I can't claim that the name rings a bell or that I feel a loss.

But then as far as you or your diminuitive sense of humor are concerned that doesn't ring too many bells either except the one the one rings between rounds at a boxing match.

Perhaps you ought to read the guidelines for posting here.

I'm a newbie, but even a newbie who has read the contract can see that you are going astray. Rolling Eyes

as far as reading the contract here, I am pretty sure Cav requested (demanded) 90 days or 4,000 miles, whichever came first, as a stipulation to his contract.

Well, I may be rusty, but I don't recall anything in the TOS that mentions 'ridiculing public figures' as an offence. If it were, wouldn't most of the American media and public be behind bars by now?

Our older members may be unaware that the TOS have been changed to include the ridicule or defamation of public personages as a violation. Part and parcel with the growing conservative character of this site, i might add.

Oops!

I did not know that.

I guess that means I cannot call George Bush a moron anymore.

Just as well.

I've been getting lots of heat from the moron lobby on that anyway.

Ellipsus is much preferable--as in:

"Were i the type of member given to scurrilous slander of public officials, i might characterize the Shrub as a lying, cheating, theiving moron--but, of course i am not, and would never, therefore, reveal my true feelings in print, in such a simple-minded manner."

I do wonder, you know . . . if Kerry is elected, will the conservative monitors as quickly and surely enforce such a policy to prevent other conservative members from posting slighting remarks?

III. POSTINGS
A. Postings are those portions of the Able2Know service (including but not limited to question-and-answer exchanges, forums, topics, featured topics, articles, announcements and commentary) where members post content to the service. You shall not upload to, or distribute or otherwise publish in any Posting any libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, gratuitously sexual, abusive, harassing or otherwise illegal material. To do so will result in a deletion or editing of said material from the site and may result in your removal from the service.
B.
1) Be courteous. You agree that you will not threaten or verbally abuse other members, use defamatory language, or deliberately disrupt topics with repetitive messages, meaningless messages or "spam." Spammers will be removed from the service, and their accounts terminated.
2) Use respectful language. You agree not to use language that abuses or discriminates on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual preference, age, region, disability, etc. Hate speech of any kind is grounds for immediate and permanent removal from the service.
3) Use appropriate language. While open exchanges, even about adult-oriented issues, are encouraged, members are asked to consider the different ages and sensitivities of the entire community while participating in the Able2Know service. If necessary, inappropriate language will be deleted or edited, or a topic containing said inappropriate language will be marked as such (e. g. Warning: contains adult language).
4) Vulgar speech is not tolerated. Vulgarisms may be deleted or edited, and may result in a warning or eventual removal of the member from the site.
5) Lively debate is accepted, and even encouraged, but personal attacks are not. Active topics and heated debate are welcome in the Able2Know service. However, personal attacks are a direct violation of this Agreement and are grounds for immediate and permanent removal from the service.
6) While occasional breaches of decorum in the heat of debate will be tolerated, members whose interactions are marked by a consistent pattern of demeaning and abusive interactions will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including permanent removal from the service.
C. The Postings shall be used only in a non-promotional manner. You shall not, without the express approval of Able2Know, distribute or otherwise publish in the service any content which contains (i) offers to buy or sell goods or services; (ii) advertising; or (iii) commercial solicitations of any kind. Examples of prohibited solicitations include efforts to obtain funds or services from members and attempts to recruit members to participate in research studies, other websites, polls, surveys or lawsuits. Promotional postings are not limited to commercial promotions and all are equally forbidden.

I see, the two magic words 'libelous' and 'defamatory', the legal blanket to ban criticism of any kind, not that that statement is a criticism of any kind.

I found the perfect headstone for Butler's grave:

Will that get me 30 years in prison? Or will it only get me banned? Gee, then I can spend my golden years playing Go Fish with C.I. and Maddy.
