I picked up a few things down at the local Shop & Save and was quite frankly embarrassed to see Dubya and Kerry arm-wrestling to decide who would carry my chips to the car.
Isn't this battle for swing voters getting a little out of hand?
It's enough to blow your ears back...
That's nothing. Pres Bush was here a couple of weeks, rounding up votes. Should I mention that Farmington, NM has a population of 37,000, and the whole state has a total of 5 - count 'em - 5 electoral votes?
Hey, roger, speaking of Farmington.... NPR had a senator of NM (Domenici?) on and a caller from Farmington. The Domenici guy rubbed me the wrong way.
Mr. Kerry showed up at a rally last weekend in Bellville, OH (try to find it on a map) and the local paper featured a picture of him ... holding ... and kissing a baby. In a surprise visit, he and his entourage traveled 10 miles up the road and attended a high school football game in Mansfield (a wider spot in the road.) The locals were enthusiastic, but who really cared about Johnny's big game anymore? Bush was in Cleveland at the same time. The joke is that Teresa's going to buy John another condo there for HIS many visits. Both have been camped out in Akron/Canton all summer and for some reason the Toledo television market has been targeted as the #1 market in the country. Kerry just passed through Lima to Toledo last week ...
