I recently purchased a new ceiling light and the light has two black wires and a grounding wire however my existing wiring is one black one white and a grounding wire . how do I wire. Thank you

The reason the fan has two black wires is that one is for the light and the other is for the fan. The easy way to do this is to tie all the black wires together. That means that when you turn on the wall switch, both the fan and the light will come on. You could then use the pull cords on the fan to manually turn on and off the fan and light. The harder way would be to route another power feed to the ceiling. That is a little harder and if you have no idea what I'm talking about you should probably hire someone to do it.
