Display Case - How do you build?

I am needing to get a display case for my Collectible Barbies, but every one I look at is really just too expensive! I want a glass front "shelf". Basically a shelf with glass on top, front and maybe both sides. Approx. 15-17 inches high and 8-9 inches deep, somewhere around that. I would either do it that way or a wall hanging cabinet with 2 or 3 shelves each about 15-17 inches high and 8-9 inches deep.

How can I do this? Any suggestions? Help!
