OK, so I'm a brand new tarantula owner and I get a little over worried if I notice my T (an Aphonopelma chalcodes female) acting in a way I deemed 'strange.' So, just today, I noticed she had her two front legs in her water dish, just chilling there. Now I know about hovering over their water dish because of a lack of humidity but she wasn't there for very long. Now very likely I'm just overreacting about her being her, but like I said, this is my very first tarantula and I would hate to see her get sick and/or possibly die after caring for her for only two weeks! Anything is helpful, even if its just reassurance, I just want to make sure I'm giving her a comfortable life!!
@neuroticWisher,
Have you tried contacting the seller?
@roger,
Did you know what kind of creature this is?
I did not - looked it up and wish I had not.
I thought it was kind of a dance - tarantella for beginners,
