boomer, tonight on our walk, I walked past the home of the original green chevelle <sigh>

you soooo made me cry the other night, thinking about the Weekly World News - there were some real moments there

I've got a couple more things to go save. I'm not keeping much, just a few treats.

I do think I should try and find one of Mapleleaf's threads about memories of your childhood homes. It's where I really SAW Setanta for the first time.

Gosh, eBeth - I've cried too over that thread. I celebrated my 40th birthday and Little Mo's birth and talked about my father dying on those threads.

I'm not keeping much either - my correspondence with Hugh Jass, some of which I posted here, my favorite limericks and parodys, and everything from the WWN.

A few bits and blurbs too that now even have more of an impact - there was a thread where I asked everyone to imagine themselves as a comic book super hero and dubbed Noddy "The Enlightener".

Since that long ago time, Noddy has enlightened me in ways that most people would never imagine. She is one of the very, very few people I correspond with from these forums, outside these forums (although lately I haven't been too good at keeping up, but I do see her here now, too). She is someone that I truly love and admire and I would have never met her without Abuzz.

Those are the kind of things I'm keeping - even though there isn't a way to physically keep them.

Just want to chime in re: Noddy -- I've been putting special effort into collecting sozlet threads, and there she is again and again and again with just the advice and encouragement I needed...

I am getting virtual whatchacallit, tendonitis, from highlighting long threads. So far I have saved some of my favorite art discussions and a number of cooking threads, but I have a long way to go. I'm a sentimental soul, er, sole.

Hilarious thread, Gus!
For some reason I imagined that you first emerged at A2K. I had no idea that you had an Abuzz history, too.

Oh, yeah? Well, lemme tell you, one of your so-called phriends
came round couple days ago; said he was packin'. Ha! I sent his
a$$ packin' alright. I told him to take it up with the Prez, and
now I see on the TV where he got his kneecap blowed off by the
Feds. So, any more of you morons thinkin' of startin' some ****,
just you take heed of what happened to the last of Phly's
phriends to show up on my doorstep.

'Twas nothing quite so good as Fart Thread's fun,
And no news quite so sad as "Fart Thread's dead!"
If truth be told, why then our fun is done,
But Fart Thread lives for ever in our head!
I loved to make it speak, yet well I knew
That music, had a far more pleasing sound,
Some say from it that noisome odours blew,
But, at the least, its feet were on the ground.

I have seen wonders glowing in my sight,
I have read words that to my soul did speak,
Yet all those earthy words that we did write,
Brought sparkle to my eyes - rose to my cheek.
So yes, by heaven, I'll swear that thread was fair
As any thread bedecked with less hot air!

Moondoggy farts to show to us his soul!
(As well, perhaps, to discomfit a troll) -
At first, perhaps, it seems a sad, crude thing,
That he to us with nether lips should sing,
But then I think, did she who gave us form
Create us whole, that she some parts should scorn?
No! Rather, when we sing and give her praise,
She loves us most when most her roof we raise!

I think that i shall never fart
A more authentic inner part
Of my true self to share with you
Than on this thread where I just blewww.

Sometimes, you cry, and no one sees your tears;
sometimes you laugh, and no one hears,
sometimes you're all alone, and no one comes to comfort you,
But Fart Just One Time.......

What's that stink curling the hair in my nose?

It damn sure don't smell like perfume or a rose...

Open the windows and turn on the fans....

Apparently moondoggy farts on command.

Forgive me for my flatulence
And all of it's extravagance
I did mean to let it go
It slipped out so very slow
There it is, in the air
I know, I know, it wasn't fair
Just open the window or leave the room
For that, my odor, is in full bloom

a true fart exists on many levels of consciousness Bi Polar (from
primal to etherial), and can be interpreted through many levels
of perception (realist, surealist, abstract, gritty realism etc),
and then of course you have your post modern fart, your post
feminist fart, your post structuralist fart... but my personal
favorite would have to be the fart of deconstruction.

ok, I'm gonna stop now
