Tehe, the Vogue thread is one I already saved... so far I have 342 threads saved from Abuzz, I think that should cover most... among others, I saved all the Tavern threads and followups... and I did find the love shack again where I did the dance with my princess Smile

Yes, it was fun back then, the General, GU'11 and all the other ones...

Surprised I received an Abuzz email invitation to a new discussion, about an hour ago! Strange, like hearing from a ghost. Confused

Was it a hoax? (or is that too early to ask)

Either too late or too early, but, kind as I am:

A virus hoax is a false warning about a computer virus. Typically, the warning arrives in an e-mail note or is distributed through a note in a company's internal network. These notes are usually forwarded using distribution lists and they will typically suggest that the recipient forward the note to other distribution lists.

I have just tried the "Receive email updates" button on a page of a very ancient thread of Abuzz (Sep 2000), and it seems to work.

And the spammers and hatespewers keep going... really makes you wonder how sick some people can get. I wonder, is it manical what they do or do they actually like it?

Thanks for that, Walter.
However I'm doing a Norton check that hasn't picked up anything.
Nor has my ISP, which also scans my emails.
Anything else I should do?

Abuzz does appear to be working still .... but how come? Confused

I use Mandrake Linux, but I know, that Norton is not a good scanner. It need to much system resources , have a bad detection rate and is expensive .
I suggest the renowned Antivir , it is free aviable and the detection is high. If you start the program, shortly upate the program

That Antivir is better than Norton.

Specially the space thing.
