there was an inconclusive but thought provoking article on my netscape today regarding the willingness of many delegates to the republican convention to gowith a vp other than dick cheney. a few are apparently quite vocal about it. i wanted to put the link here, but the story has now disappeared. no. really. it did. it'll probably turn up on another site.
but that set me to wondering...
cheney just contradicted bush policy on gay marriage. that's a real biggy with the bush base.
and at about the same time mccain is stuck to bush like glue, travelin' town to town just like best pals.
could the unveiling of the bush/mccain in 2004 ticket next week be the "september surprise"?
interesting to think about...
