The 'community' threads still continued ... I'm a bit worried about a couple of folks who will not consider coming here or other sites a few of us have suggested over the past year.
The rainforest crew is on thread #49, fired-up folks are on #47, NanCan's support thread's on number 9 ...
gotta find my link to rainforest one of these days
I have visited there daily for about three months. I will miss frank, anon and a few others. CI started a picture club on Yahoo groups, so I can stay in touch through that. There are a number of good posters whom I really would like to see posting here.

Do they have some objection to A2K, ehBeth?
...so sorry to hear this news....
I just spent the evening copying text from abuzz to notepad. What memories. Now I'm wondering about GoAway and Buckthorn and all the other people I haven't heard from for so long.
Going to lose track of some good people.
Sure wish someone could catch Ann of Norway and drag her over here.
I don't recall meeting Ann of Norway. Interesting name.
I'm going to save large chunks of Abuzz to disks, if anyone wants specific portions and I have the resources (time, space, bandwidth) I can create mirrors for them.
We have now around 4 threads about this. But it is bitter, indeed. Unfortunaly, the site will be closed.
I intend to go in there on the weekend and save what I can.
End of an Era - formally and abt time. I had started feeling very sorry for abuzz for what it had become from its previous glorious times.
Ann of Norway hasn't posted for some time on Abuzz.
Well, I had quite a good time there - but haven't been there (besides condolances for those of us, who left us for ever), since A2K started.
I don't miss it really (only perhaps the "Sunday chats" ).
Either a2k is now or anytime we will at least equal to Abuzz.
Yes, it is a bold declaration, but goodness knows.
At least A2K derived from the mess of post-golden age Abuzz. Do you think that Abuzz would have carried on like before, had the whole 'no moderators' mess not come about?
actually yes and no.
abuzz was important, a2k is still important. a2k should be live a long time. :-)

If Abuzz had been moderated like "in the good old days", I doubt that A2K had been running in the way it is now ....
