Really, a serious question....
When your procrastination ends up making for uncomfortable relationships with let's say co-workers, do you consider it's because of your actions?
Or, are you sincerely confused when others take a stand, resulting in negative consequences towards you?
Are you even aware the other parties feel ackward not only bringing it up, but enforcing deadlines with punative actions (written in policy signed by employee)
I'm trying not to phrase this as a leading question. I don't know if I'm doing very well.
I'm just really puzzling over whether the procrastinator really doesn't see the problem, or just doesn't care.

They probably think it can all be worked out later. Seriously.
@roger,
Even when this is chronically happening, not a one time thing?
Would not someone eventually think the chickens will come home to roost?
Thanks for you input. Would appreciate more on this.
I'm going to answer this, soon as I can get around to it.
@chai2,
I'm guessing that the long time procrastinators eventually do realize things are closing in on them. At that time they realize the should be updating the old resume, but don't always get around to it in time.
@roger,
The longer you wait, the older you are. And thus a lot wiser as well.
