@edgarblythe,
Just pointing out that innuendo is not a good way to explore any question.

@edgarblythe,
Quote:
I don't recall wishing for paradise. Just a little justice where it's lacking.

Mighty hypocritical of you, Edgar. No surprise there, tho'.

@edgarblythe,
What is stupid, Edgar, is your obvious and usual reluctance to address anything. You aren't of "justice". Though you do like to pretend.

What is there to suffer (lack) from that you didn't had before?
Can you have any form of displeasure without knowing what pleasure was first?

...well, there you have it, a null sum!

@cicerone imposter,
FYI, Jesus was not born on 12-25. The spirit of Ama revealed that Jesus was born on 05-23, and I was able to prove that He is correct. You may read the results of my extensive study in http://aristean.org/birth0523.htm .

I guess that after an (un)reasonable amount of time has passed, both good and evil become a bore. Sometimes they're also intertwined, it's not easy to discern one from another.

What do you find evil about what was said?

As the story goes, a man asked G-d, "Why do you allow people to suffer?" G-d answered, "Why do you?"

Sorry, but belief in G-d is not an insurance policy. However, your righteousness can be help protect others from suffering.

@kk4mds,
Definition of righteous
1
: acting in accord with divine or moral law : free from guilt or sin
2
a : morally right or justifiable a righteous decision
b : arising from an outraged sense of justice or morality righteous indignation
3
slang : genuine, excellent
righteously adverb
righteousness noun

We as human suffer to learn, to grow. If we do not suffer the consequences of what is or was or will be wrong then we will not understand, learn what is right for if there is never wrong to us will always be right though example hurting others without shame will always be right and we head straight for a land of suffering after death. How do i know there is such thing as sufferring and nonsufferring after death? I died once. Before that at three years maybe i was sent to church where i heard of a*spirit of nothing but love and i believed, held on to for years awaiting the seeking of such spirit, for how love does not hurt. For if you believe you are in love or are loving another yet enduring pain, hurt it is not love it is lust which is pain and suffering. Life on earth is not love i believe, but a lesson, a lesson to be learned of what is wrong what is right.
Do you believe? I do in what is right fair honest justifiable else similar.

@peacecrusader888,
The date of Jesus' birth date is not important: he's a fictional character created like other god's in many countries during different periods. India has created thousands of god's. How many god's does humans need?

@newmoonnewmoon,
Justice is always violent to the party offending, for every man is innocent in his own eyes.

@newmoonnewmoon,
Laws catch flies but let hornets go free.

Scottish (on justice)

...for I am but a fly on the wall

Justice? -- You get justice in the next world. In this one you have the law.

William Gaddis

...do right, your afterlife will be justice..for you

You know, the courts may not be working any more, but as long as everyone is videotaping everyone else, justice will be done.

Marge Simpson

...i don't believe anyone believes in this

Justice is always violent to the party offending, for every man is innocent in his own eyes.

Daniel Defoe

...the belief of perfection

The foundation of justice is good faith.

Cicero

...just believe

Justice has nothing to do with what goes on in a courtroom; Justice is what comes out of a courtroom

Clarence Darrow

@newmoonnewmoon,
Remember the so called golden rule? That is the basis of righteousness.

A Gentile who stops to help the fallen is more righteous in the eyes of G-d than the learned rabbi who walks by.

The Muslims in the Philippines who, at their own risk, aided Christians to escape Muslim militants committed an act of righteousness. They put the welfare of others above their own.

It's not complicated.

@newmoonnewmoon,
God has bigger purposes in allowing us to suffer, bigger than just winning. He allows us to suffer because we change through suffering.

@newmoonnewmoon,
How does this apply to whole families smashed into goo by war? Babies, fetuses, parents? What lessons do they learn by this process?
