Can I take quotes and combine them with a comma?
For example: Bill said, "I'll go home for lunch," "This chicken tastes good," and "The weather is nice."
Bill sounds like a cheerful fellow.
The kind one would like to sit next to at the office.
@Billy76,
like this - Blah said 'blah blah', 'blah blah', and 'blah blah'.
Notice the commas' new position.
The original poster showed the quoted items with the commas inside the quotes, American style, and Mark Noble showed the same list with the commas outside the quotes, British style. Both are "correct".
