too much is correct as it refers to quantity.

too many refers to variety. It may be the case that you eat a microscopic piece of many types of fatty food, but remain healthy as the overall quantity remains small enough to maintain a healthy diet.

Either can be interpreted to mean you should eat as many fatty foods as possible
