Hey, anybody know where the big abortion and gun debates are for this election? This is the first presidential election I've been old enough to remember when people weren't arguing about these two topics. Do you think the country has outgrown them?

No, it's just that war records and Kerry's expensive haircut are more important, it seems.

No.

As a Nader voter, I am constantly hearing about the affect my conscience will have on the choice of pro-life judges. The pro-choice people are very vocal about this.

Stem cell research is also a very big issue right now that is fundamentally an abortion issue. Ron Reagan's speech in the Dem convention was a big deal.

Kerry makes sure that people know he is a hunter. Bush has the NRA vote and uses this base.

I think the US is still very divided on these topics. The arguments you are missing may just be getting drowned out by the war.

Which one would you like to argue about Duck?

Oh, I don't know. The gun one isn't very emotional unless there's someone here who lost a kid or something. Do you think we should argue about abortion and see if we can someone to froth at the mouth?

I can pretend to froth: Abortion? How DARE you mess with god's will. I lost a child to gunfire you know, and YOU, instead of counting your blessings decided to kill your baby!

How was that?

It's never hard to get someone to froth at the mouth. Start a gun control thread and send PM invitations to cjhsa and saintsfanbrian . . .

You could always use Michael Moore as an example of why abortion should remain legal.

Michael Moore made his girlfriend get an abortion! He's not only a fat stinking liar, he's a baby killer too!

Babies are a gift from God and everyone should be forced to have them.

How about...abortion should be illegal because it's much more fun to shoot people once we all know they are arseholes rather than nip things in the bud before the fact.

Maybe abortion should be illegal because we need more wage slaves to keep this crumbling economy from eating sh**.

How about "Eat sh**, it's a healthy, renewable resource, provided you eat your own, unlike oil, which we are required to shoot people for, and kill their babies."

I think that might violate the rights of human feces.
