OK... we'll just wait for the lucky newbie chosen at random by my super-scientific index finger -- fairplay verified by my arm -- to be chosen..

Yes:

Our booze provider will be...

Poe_etic12yearold.

Hmm..

Somehow I don't think she'll be too good in this role.

Don' know why.

Something about her name.

Maybe the inopportune _.

Maybe it's an ironic, post-modern soubriquet, and she's actually Ellen DeGeneres?

I take that silence as a no.

Send them to the Central African Republic. They may get malaria, but if one balances this pain out with the money saved on beer, we work out $15,969 richer.

Can the title of this be changed so everyone knows what's goin' on? Not sure many will check it and know to be here if they don't know what the thread is about.

Just a thought.

Hey, it'll still be a party!

Do we show up here or the pub or do we need a dedicated party thread?

Hey all. How about a roll call thread for the big day?

It's less then 24 hours away...see you then.

I think you'll need to set up a roll-call thread, jp.

Husker/elio used to do it fairly often at Abuzz. Just seein' who was around.

Count this newbie in--always up for a party. Mint Juleps, anyone? I can also mix a mean Scarlett O'Hara. And of course there's Dixie beer for the good ol' boys. . . .

OK--lemme get this straight: 3 p.m. EST = 4 p.m. EDT = 3 p.m. CDT, right? (I'm showing just after 8:30 p.m. here in Mississippi.)

It's 4:01 in Jackson, Miss, at the moment, so that's an offset of -6h BST, -5 hrs EDT... so that means that you'll have to be there for 2 pm, doesn't it?
