CNSNews.com) - Despite the allegation by Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry, that President Bush was slow to establish the position of "intelligence czar" in the aftermath of the 9/11 Commission report, Kerry passed up an opportunity to co-sponsor Senate legislation last year that would have done just that.

There were six co-sponsors of the Intelligence Community Leadership Act, introduced by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) in January 2003. But neither Kerry nor his vice presidential running mate, Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina, who was a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence at the time, added their names to the bill.

I find it interesting that he had the chance to sponsor a bill, and refused to do it.
He blames Bush, but refused to act himself on the exact same thing.

There has never been a more two-faced person than the great waffler, Kerry.

Ah hell, he probably voted for it before he voted against it.

Except for George Bush who opposed the 9-11 Commission, who stonewalled having any commission inquiry of any of his actions, who stone-walled having his own waffler testify ==until the commission was a foregone conclusion==, who first said he himself would not testify, who then waffled and decided he needed to have have his (daddy-substitute ) vice-president testify at his elbow, who then first, opposed acccepting any of the commission's recommendations and who then, when presented with the OVERwhelming public opinion that ALL of the commission ideas be accepted, waffled and decided that a central head of intelligence might be a fine idea. Shocked Shocked

Christ, tie this guy down before he blows away at the next wind of change!

Aunt Jemima Frozen Waffles should sue Bush for infringement of product copyright .

I, of course, cannot speak for Kerry but given that the commission was still in it's infancy I would say that in his position I would have waited for an investigation and recommendation before acting as well. Before knowing what went wrong, how could you make such a decision? Also, before the 9/11 commission report, it likely wouldn't have had any support.

So you are saying that he needed to wait for someone else to tell him what was broken before he could decide to fix it?
He wasnt smart enuf to recognize what was broken?
Thats funny, thats what you say about Bush.
Now you are saying Kerry cant recognize whats broken either.
