Wiring mirror to bathroom light and extractor

Hi,
I am about to install a mirror in my bathroom which requires 240v for lights etc. Currently inside my bathroom I have a light and extractor fan which both turn on and off together with the pull cord. These are coming off a fused spur just outside my bathroom which also turns both off. I want to wire my mirror up so it has power to turn its lights on without having the main bathroom light and extractor on. Do I wire the mirror directly to the fused spur to achieve this ?

Regards.

Richard.
