HDMI Tripping GFCI

Spliced in a mid-run outlet box into an existing line. When tv and cable box with HDMI cord connected is plugged into this outlet the GFCI on this circuit trips.

When plug TV and cable box into same outlet w/out HDMI connected everything is on and running...then try to connect HDMI and it trips. To try to pinpoint issue I plugged into another outlet on this same run and everything runs fine with HDMI connected.

Have even tried to connect only incoming wires to the outlet and leaving down stream wires unconnected and it works fine...then hook up downstream wires to the outlet and it trips.

Anyone have suggestions?

@Brad3781,
When the GFCI is on and nothing plugged into it or down stream what color is the led? When it trips what color? , Or no color at all ?
