And a lovely one.

Today marks the 13th anniversary of Mo coming to live with us. By the end of the week he'll be 15 years old.

He's taller than me now.

He's a really great kid.

I never thought I'd be a parent and for some reason reaching the "teen" year has really hit me. Time flies. I can't believe I was ever so lucky to have had this marvelous person fall into my lap.

Some of you were here at the beginning and a lot of you have given me tremendous advice over the years and I just felt a need to share and especially to say thank you.

Thank you.

@boomerang,
I've followed along since Abuzztime. I'm amazed and delighted at how well it has all worked out.

@boomerang,
Happy anniversary - what a lovely gift for you both and for Mo.

Gives me the warm fuzzies and a smile on my face.

@boomerang,
Blimey! 15 years old.

You have by now discovered that it is indeed possible for a 15 year old male to not only produce a full basket of dirty laundry per day, but also consume 4lbs of assorted meat, six eggs, five pints of milk and one large family sized cake, in between family meals.

It is purely down to 15 year olds that the farming and confectionery industries thrive.

Well done. Time flies indeed.

@farmerman,
Good question. Every boy should be in school at age 15.

Thank you, all! It's been a fun week around here!

I'm afraid Mo wants to go to any college where they will allow him to play football on their team. He's pretty good and pretty big so maybe there's a chance of that.

We have to get through the whole driver's permit stage of life first. If you're the sort of person who prays, this might be a good time for that....

@boomerang,
Ha ha - just went through it - when you first drive with him you will be holding onto the door handle saying in her head oh sh*t oh sh*t.

It is a wonderful bonding experience.
